Work Shifts

9 AM - 5 PM

Job Description
• Greet patients in a courteous and professional manner using "Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank you (AIDET).
• Ask patient for four (4) identifiers to insure patient's safety.
• Provides supervision of the clerical staff assigned to the clinic
• Provides supervision/direction on the patient intake/exit process within the assigned clinic setting. Checks accuracy/completeness of physicians schedules and ensures their conformity with established department guidelines.
• Schedules patient in Epic and assures that patients are being checked in and out at a 100% compliance
• Assures that all clerical staff is using Check 15 when registering patients, and that the miscellaneous documents are scanned into Media Manager.
• Makes recommendations regarding the development and modifications of patient scheduling templates.
• Does daily rounds to ensure clinic is running smoothly and communicate with nursing and medical staff.
• Handles problems in clinic area in an expeditious manner seek assistance if necessary.
• Assists and cooperates with investigation and resolution of patients' complaints through appropriate channels
• Takes all appropriate action to ensure patient confidentiality.
• Monitors efficiency of services through data collection; reports submission, identifies problems, and recommends corrective action to the Department Director.
• Assists in the preparation of statistical data reports and related quality improvement/ regulatory monitoring activity.
• Monitors inventory and follows-up on orders being submitted in.
• Orders supplies in PEOPLESOFT SUPPLY CHAIN and W.B Mason.
• Liaison between vendors and bio-med (replacement or repairs of machines).
• Actively participates in departmental meetings/conferences, insures that appropriate information is related to clinic personnel.
• Works as liaison to ensure the administrative operations of the clinic are in place, which includes, but is not limited to housekeeping, radiology, & Hospital Information System.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology or Rehabilitation Counseling, and three (3) years of full-time experience in medically-oriented health care and medical support systems environment, two (2) years of which included experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in such occupations as physical, occupational, inhalation, speech and audiology therapy or as Medical/Laboratory Technologist, Microbiologist (various specialties), Chemist (biochemist), Radiation and X-Ray Technician or three (3) years of responsible level experience in business management systems or general administration including two (2) years in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
2. A Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in the disciplines listed in (1), and two (2) years of full-time experience as listed in (1), plus one (1) year experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in occupations as listed in (1); or,
3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
