- Provides administrative support for the Director and Managers, including financial and budget reporting and planning; provides clerical services for the department; coordinates the performance of all administrative tasks within the department, and directly supervises the department's other support personnel. Administers the department's Computerized Maintenance Management System, and edits the API Payroll Program for the department. Supports the Director and department in providing monthly Operational Reports, Compliance Reporting for the monthly Environment Committee meeting, and tracking the department's Patient Satisfaction scores and results.
- Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines
- Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization
- Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures
- Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)
- Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
- Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
- General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.
- May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms.
- May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
- Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 10% travel.
- May be scheduled as needed including overtime
- As part of employment, occupant with be entering/leaving secure medication storage areas, please note these medications should not be handled by non-licensed personnel and it is occupants responsibility area remains locked when exiting. Any issues or concerns regarding medications, can be addressed with a member of the Nursing or Pharmacy staff.
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- 2 year / Associate Degree in Business computers and administration. (Preferred)
- 4+ years Administrative support positions of increasing responsibility, including supervisory position. (Required)
- 4+ years Facilities management, health care environment, and or an acute care hospital setting. (Preferred)

- Position requires the ability to multi-task, handling multiple phone lines while simultaneously using radio to convey messages while providing exceptional customer service.
