Pitt-Bradford is welcoming new applications to be our next Coordinator of Student Engagement. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Experiential Learning and Leadership, the coordinator collaboratively oversees student activities and develops programming, while providing advising, mentoring and support for a broad range of organizations, activities, and large-scale events. The coordinator will collaborate with professional staff and student leaders to set goals, assess student engagement efforts, develop innovative engagement activities and programs, evaluate organizational needs, problem-solve, and serve as a liaison with other university departments essential to program implementation and success.

Hiring Range: $42,000 - $53,000/Year.

Duties:
  • Cultivate an organizational culture that supports broad-based, inclusive, and mission-informed programming, activities, and events for Pitt-Bradford.
  • Plan, coordinate, implement and assess aspects of the New Student Orientation programs.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee new and existing programs and services including, but not limited to, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Student Activities Council, Student Programs and Clubs/Organizations, and all signature student events.
  • Coordinate club and organization officer training, including workshops on managing budgets, event planning, how to run a meeting, risk management, and other organizational development-related topics and programs.
  • Provide advisor training to faculty/staff advisors and develop protocols and resources for advisors.
  • Using the ExperiencePitt app, establish and manage a data collection system to track student's engagement and interests.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in human service, counseling, psychology, social work, or other relevant field.
  • At least three years of experience in student activities, campus life, or other related field.

Preference will be given to applicants with a Master's degree in a relevant field, experience working in a higher education setting, and experience advising student clubs and organizations.

Combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education and/ or experience requirement.
