Job Purpose: The purpose of Testing Services is to provide individual and group testing, which includes national and state mandated assessments, designed to place students academically and measure success. The Coordinator of Williamson Campus Testing Services directs, oversees and participates in the daily operations of the Williamson Campus Testing Center and strives to assure that all tests are administered ethically and consistently.

Essential Functions:

  1. Serve as Chief Examiner for all tests administered at the Williamson campus. The coordinator is responsible for ordering test materials; scheduling exams; maintaining test security; verifying examinee eligibility; proctoring, scoring, score reporting; maintaining confidential records; and recruiting, training and supervising proctors and alternate chief examiners, among other duties.
  2. Keep abreast of current institutional, state and federal policies and procedures related to testing, as well as individual product vendors' requirements, in order to ensure accountability and compliance.
  3. Assist the College's Testing Director with planning, implementing, reporting, budgeting, and evaluating activities for continued improvement and growth of testing services college-wide.
  4. Assist in identifying and implementing technological innovations that will improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing services functions.
  5. Assist in acquisition, development, utilization, maintenance and enhancement of technology resources.
  6. Counsel with examinees on pre-testing and post-testing concerns.
  7. Follow policies and procedures the College's Testing Services relative to proctoring for ADA, Distance Education, TN eCampus, and non-TBR students.
  8. Coordinate with Counseling and Disabilities Services to provide non-standard accommodations for the high school equivalency, placement and exit exams, and others as needed.
  9. Follow operating procedures developed by the College's Testing Director within guidelines from TBR, State, Federal and national testing companies.
  10. Develop and disseminate information to the College's Testing Director regarding the testing program at the Williamson Campus.

14. Provide the Columbia Testing Director with forecasts, analyses, advice and recommendations related to success and needed improvements.

Supplemental Functions:

  1. Assist the Student Services Division and Williamson Campus with activities and events as schedule permits.
  2. Other duties as assigned.


Job Specifications:

Education, Training and Experience Required:
  1. Minimum of Bachelor's degree with preference in Education, Psychology, or Business Administration; Master's degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of three years in program coordination, management and supervision experience.
  3. Familiar with and experience in administering and proctoring large and small group test sessions.
  4. Familiar with computer hardware and software applications that support computer based testing.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:

  1. Requires knowledge of basic theories of psychology and group dynamics, education, business and communications.
  2. Ability to coordinate activities with college personnel on all campuses.
  3. Strong organizational, planning, decision-making skills, and attention to detail.
  4. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and in-depth knowledge of test administration across a computer network.
  5. In depth knowledge of complex state and federal guidelines regarding test administration.
  6. High level or proficiency with Banner.
  7. High level of proficiency in oral and written communication.
  8. Must be a team player able to multi-task and remain flexible and adaptable to change.
  9. Ability to demonstrate effective problem solving skills.
  10. Maintain security and confidentiality of test materials and results.
  11. Ensure student/client compliance with ethical standards in testing.
  12. Work independently with minimal supervision.


Working Conditions:

  1. Extended use of a personal computer.
  2. Moderate lifting of test materials up to 30 lbs. per box.
  3. Travel to sites and centers and able to work evenings and weekends.

Hiring Salary Range: $39,580-$49,480
