Overview

The CPWS Director, eCommerce & Digital Transformation - East Region (FL/KY/IN) will be responsible for operationalizing our supplier's commercial priorities in the emerging e-commerce channel focusing on growing our B2C share and business. He/she will also lead our efforts to enable SGWS digital vision and roadmap through SGWS' Proof CRM and e-commerce platforms.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, design, and implementation of all corporate and local Digital Marketing initiative & eCommerce operations including annual digital campaigns, eKPIs, eAOP planning, tactical digital program calendars and growth focused digital marketing strategies
  • Lead Digital Marketing program communications, supplier meetings and business review/planning meetings with region/market leadership
  • Measure and evaluate ROI and sales and promotion effectiveness of all Digital Marketing initiatives
  • Steward digital and eCommerce planning with State leadership, Trade Development, GM's, Commercial On & Off Premise leads, aligning to state goal setting for suppliers, leading internal and external GSMs, QBRs, Mid-Month, Monthly Kick Off, Demand planning through the lens of digital delivery platforms etc., and help identify new opportunities for eCommerce and digital optimization for our suppliers and customers
  • Collaborate with supplier e-retail teams to identify, prioritize and implement tactics to drive sales opportunities
  • Identify new digital trade marketing opportunities through consumer trends, customer segmentation, purchasing analysis, "pairs with" strategies, etc.
  • Collaborate on pricing and promotional strategies to deliver on e-commerce sales goals
  • Lead adoption and reinforcement of digital tools, processes, and capabilities by working cross-functionally with commercial teams, Commercial Operations, Talent Development, and Human Resources
  • Responsible for customer eCommerce activation and eCommerce platform adoption. Lead eCommerce activation teams and provide direction to commercial field teams
  • Champion "Voice of Customer" by consulting customers (internal and external) and suppliers to capture and analyze experiential feedback and business impact of new commercial systems and processes


Additional Primary Responsibilities

  • Experience in building and operating e-commerce business
  • Prior experience building and managing at-scale (high transaction volume) e-commerce platform
  • Demonstrated online marketing (e.g. acquisition, personalization and retention tactics) experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of e-commerce and web analytics tools
  • Previous beverage supplier programming and price structure experience
  • Experience in Commercial Finance and CPG pricing practices
  • Budgetary and fiscal oversight/management experience
  • Knowledge of applicable state regulations and adult beverage market dynamics
  • Passion for wine and spirits category
  • Understanding of testing to improve usability and UX/UI for e-commerce tools


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
  • Former digital/e-commerce experience in CPG or similar consumer products industry
  • Intermediate level understanding of global wine and spirits categories and regions
  • Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and facilitate discussions with all level of management
  • Interpersonal skills required to lead a team and establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and relevant stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire, coach, and lead colleagues by example in an intense and fast-paced business environment
  • Must require little direction or supervision; goal-oriented focused, and assertive
  • Adaptable and able to assist a variety of internal customer groups and varying personality types
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities on tight deadlines and maintain a high level of quality output
  • Ability to understand and manage budgets, profitability, and expenses

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
