Summary:
This position will be responsible for providing credit risk oversight for the consumer credit portfolios. Responsibilities include monitoring the credit quality of assigned portfolios to help ensure that established risk parameters are being adhered to, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and credit policies of the bank, and assisting with key initiatives related to the assigned portfolios.
The position requires a focus on data and analytics to ensure the KPI and KRIs related to the portfolio are tracked, doing deep dive analysis as required and raising awareness of any key risks related to the portfolio. This incumbent will also manage and evaluate effectiveness of portfolio management policies and behavioral monitoring.
The position will support the Head of Consumer and Residential Credit Risk in managing the overall credit risk of the portfolios in line with the risk appetite. The position will also be required evaluate and affirming/declining credit requests for assigned lending units that exceed their signing authority.

Responsibilities:
- Establish and review key risk reports to monitor the quality of the portfolios.
- Brings concerns to the attention of appropriate committees and stakeholders.
- Develop action plans to close any open issues and work with relevant stakeholders to close the actions.
- Reviews completeness, accuracy, and usefulness of established credit policies and procedures related to assigned portfolios. Recommends Credit Policy and procedure changes for approval by the appropriate management committee.
- Oversees implementation of changes following Credit Policy updates to 1LOD procedures and processes where appropriate.
- Participates in and supports credit reviews and ensures that corrective actions are taken to cure exceptions and further to prevent reoccurrence.
- Design and deploy monitoring frameworks to assess the performance of new product launches
- Provides support to ensure compliance and consistent execution with all applicable laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, and administrative duties.
- Comply fully with all bank risk management, operational and credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, City National Code of Conduct, etc.)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of banking experience- preferably in Consumer and Small Business Banking
- 5+ years in 1LOD or 2LOD roles in for Credit Risk
- Strong understanding of regulatory guidance related to consumer and small business products.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PPT and reporting tools such as tableau.
