Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer/ Analyst

Description:
  • Must have led parts of implementation for least 1 or 2 large sized projects in the log management or cyber security engineer area.
  • Programs technically medium to highly complex solutions based on business requirements.
  • Creates unit tests to ensure accuracy.
  • Track record of identifying largest risk areas and driving resolution of these issues.
  • Must have experience in working in an agile environment with experience using JIRA.
  • Provides accurate and timely input regarding status of technical tasks.
  • Ensure project goals make sense and overall development objectives are being met.
  • Designs and develops high quality, scalable and efficient solutions and products on schedule.

Top three skills in order of importance and number of years of experience for each skill:
  • Three plus years of experience working in an agile environment with JIRA tool.
  • Two plus years of experience building application to detect and respond to cyber security incidences (i.e SIEM experience).
  • Two plus years of experience developing software in CI/CD environment.

Top technology tools this resource must have knowledge using?

ELK, SIEM, Logstash, AWS, Elastic SaaS skills are plus.

Brief description of the daily duties using the technology tools above:
  • Contractor will be part of a larger team defining, implementing, and supporting development activities related to SIEM, ELK and detections.

Job responsibilities specific to this role:
  • Contractor will be focused on deploying new feeds for cyber security, managing existing fields, supporting on-perm and cloud clusters responsible for cyber detection and response.
  • Common duties include installing and managing software, identifying weaknesses to prevent cyberattacks and communicating security measures.
  • Additional responsibilities may include utilizing new technologies to increase enterprise security.
