Duties/Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly handwritten cards to CVM donors, alumni, and friends of the college

• Assist with preparation/assembly of weekly acknowledgement letters

• Prepare stewardship packages as needed

• Assist with CVM SkySuite preparation

• Assist in preparation of quarterly expenditure reports

• Serve as liaison (when needed) for donor feature stories

• Assist in updating and maintaining new donor purchases in the Butler Garden, which was established at the UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital in March 2020 through an estate gift by Betty Butler, an avid animal lover. The Garden honors the meaningful relationships with companion animals and those who care for them. Donors have the opportunity to purchase bricks, plaques, and pavers in honor and memory of special loved ones

• Assist with special stewardship efforts including holiday mailings

• Assist the UGA Pet Memorial program (donors can make a gift in memory or honor of a special companion animal)

Position Summary

Have the opportunity to join a passionate, dynamic team and support the development efforts of the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine. The CVM Development & Alumni Relations office is seeking a highly-motivated, reliable individual to help implement a variety of development activities for the college. Special projects include, but are not limited to: assisting with donor and alumni events, handwriting personal notes to donors and alumni, preparing special stewardship packages, and assisting with day-to-day activities in the office. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Donor Relations & Annual Giving.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
  • Excellence and efficiency in both verbal and written communication
  • Reliable individual who enjoys creative tasks
  • Canva and/or graphic design experience
  • Have neat and legible handwriting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively
