Position:DARPA Technical Writer

Location:Onsite/hybrid - Arlington, VA.
Pay Rate Range:$100,000-$250,000*pay based off of years of experience*

Were seeking candidates to support preparation of executive level briefings and written reports relating to artificial intelligence topics. Successful candidates will have a proven track record writing articles, journals, proposals, or other related media. This role is on-site with partial telework.

Job Description:
Apex Systemsprovides Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in a dynamic environment pursuing impactful and cutting-edge research. Were seeking candidates to support preparation of executive level briefings and written reports relating to artificial intelligence topics. Successful candidates will have a proven track record writing articles, journals, proposals, or other related media. This role is on-site with partial telework.

Required Skills:

• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• US citizenship required per contract.
• Excellent communication and researching skills.
• Knowledge/experience in generative AI methods.
• Strong ability to distill complex technical and scientific concepts into accessible language for a broad range of audiences in written and presentation formats.
• Experience in writing and editing solicitation and contract documents.
• Excellent editing skills, including strong knowledge of grammar, sentence structure, and standards of written and visual presentation style.
• Experience writing succinctly and specifically for polished products such as program descriptions, budgeting documents, and executive level briefings.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Government research and development programs.
