The Sr. Manager, Data Analytics is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of data-driven solutions that support strategic decision making across the organization. The Sr. Manager, Data Analytics oversees teams of analysts and developers who use various tools and methodologies to extract, transform, and visualize data sourced from various operational systems on-prem and in-cloud datastores utilizing the Microsoft Fabric platform and Power BI as well as managing, maintaining and having responsibility for content in an IBM Cognos platform, legacy data-warehouse support/maintenance and data integrations. The Sr. Manager, Data Analytics also collaborates with key stakeholders and senior management to identify business needs, define requirements, and deliver actionable insights and recommendations.

This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Manage the full lifecycle of business intelligence projects, from planning and scoping to testing and deployment.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the business intelligence team in terms of best practices, standards, training and methodologies for data analysis and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain superior quality dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations that communicate complex data in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Conduct advanced data analysis and modeling to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Communicate and present key findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders in a concise and effective way.
  • Develop and lead near and long-term analytics/reporting/dashboard strategies and lead a large-scale migration for legacy BI solutions into a modern data/analytics platform.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators and metrics to measure and evaluate the impact and value of business intelligence solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity by enforcing data governance policies and procedures.
  • Lead effort to upskill developers/analyst and business users in a modern data and analytics platform, specifically Power BI and MS Fabric
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and tools for enhancing the business intelligence capabilities and infrastructure.

MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business analytics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or data science, with at least 7 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as R or Python for advanced data analysis and visualization.
  • Expert knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts needed for high functioning, impactful BI products.
  • Understanding of best practices for data visualization, report design and story-telling with data.
  • Strong knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating custom calculations and measures.
  • Expertise in using various business intelligence tools and platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Cognos.
  • Proficiency in using Power Query for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data integration, and data visualization concepts and techniques across various platforms including on-prem and in in-cloud (MS Fabric preferred)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across different levels and functions of the organization.
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively working directly with Program Management Office.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented professional, with a passion for driving continuous improvement and innovation.
