Position Summary:
  • We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform to design, implement, and manage robust data architectures that support our organization's data strategy.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, data integration, and data governance, combined with proficiency in the Power Platform to drive innovative solutions that leverage data to meet business objectives. Oil and gas experience is needed as well.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Implementation:
  • Develop comprehensive data architectures that align with business needs and strategic goals.
  • Design and implement data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support analytics and reporting.
  • Utilize Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) to create scalable data solutions.

Data Integration:
  • Design and manage data integration processes to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
  • Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to ingest and process data from various sources, including on-premises and cloud-based systems.

Data Governance:
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Monitor and maintain data integrity and accuracy across all data assets.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, data scientists, and analysts to ensure cohesive data strategy implementation.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers and developers.

Power Platform Expertise:
  • Develop and manage Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights.
  • Utilize Power Automate to streamline and automate data workflows and business processes.
  • Create custom applications using Power Apps to solve specific business challenges.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a strong understanding of data architecture principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with ETL tools and processes, including knowledge of SQL and other data manipulation languages.

Data Management:
  • Expertise in data integration techniques and best practices.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and experience implementing data governance policies.
  • Ability to manage and optimize large datasets for performance and scalability.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to address data-related challenges and issues.

Communication and Collaboration:
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and advanced analytics techniques.
  • Certification in Microsoft Power Platform or related technologies.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
