Data Engineer

Title: AWS Data Engineer II
Location: Hybrid in Bellevue, WA (Onsite 3x per week)
Duration: 12-month contract (long-term extensions possible)
Compensation: $55/hr - $60/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Skillset / Experience:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Data Engineer will join a critical central infrastructure team to support the build out and integration of new global data pipelines. You will take ownership of key ETL deliverables and drive their completion from end to end. You will be working with very large data sets, well beyond the scalability limits of conventional relational databases. We're looking for people who innovate, love solving hard problems, and never take "no" for an answer. You will have the opportunity to research and work with cutting edge technologies, as well as expand into new projects.

A successful candidate will have the following experience:

• 4+ years of data engineering experience
• Strong python programming experience
• Strong SQL experience - writing queries, functions, joins
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines self-sufficiently from end to end
• Scala programming experience
• Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose
• Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
• experience working with very large data sets in an enterprise environment
• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related field
