Data Scientist Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, interpret, and summarize statistical data in order to contribute to the design and development of company products.


• Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data.


• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to solve data related problems and identify trends and opportunities.


• Inform, influence, support, and execute company product decisions and product launches.


• Perform large-scale data analysis and develop effective statistical models for segmentation, classification, optimization, and time series.


• Design and implement reporting dashboards that track key business metrics and provide actionable insights.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science , or a related field. Requires completion of one graduate-level course, research project, or internship involving the following:


• #1. Machine learning techniques


• #2. Working with large data sets and network-based data: TCP or HTTP


• #3. Relational database: SQL or PL*SQL


• #4. Developing in scripting language: Python


• #5. Statistical analysis using R


• #6. Clustering, regression, and pattern recognition


• #7. Descriptive and inferential statistics


• #8. Communicating and presenting results of data analyses.
