Job Title: Sr. Data Scientist

Job Duties: Move, Inc. (operator of Realtor.com) in Austin, TX is seeking experienced Sr. Data Scientists to develop and monitor KPIs to drive high-level oversight of business initiatives and company health, and to develop regular insights from the data to enable performance management and facilitate accountability. In addition, this position will be responsible for decision support, AB testing analytics support, product development opportunity sizing, consumer behavior analysis, and performance management of Realtor.com's consumer internet business lines. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of subject matter principles and concepts to perform the duties of the position.

Job responsibilities and duties include:
  • Support the Product team in accomplishing the goals and objectives of the Consumer internet businesses
  • Deliver high-quality data-driven business analyses that address business issues with effective solutions and provide key insights leading to actionable recommendations
  • Partner with the Product organization on data-driven decision making, idea generation, and rigorous measurement
  • Lead exploratory analysis to identify and size product development opportunities to determine tradeoffs between product features that grow and optimize the product offering
  • Develop product learning agendas, design multivariate tests, and synthesize analytical results into practical recommendations that inform key business decisions
  • Partner with the engineering and business intelligence teams to drive improvements to tracking and data quality
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to understand product performance, conduct complex initiatives that address key strategic questions and drive assorted ad hoc projects
  • Inform OKR development with product leadership
This position has no direct reports and does not supervise the work of any other employees.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or any related field of study, plus at least three (3) years of experience as a Data Scientist or in any related position(s) involving data-oriented programming, data mining/modeling, machine learning, or related quantitative data analysis.
  • In lieu of the above-stated primary education and experience requirements, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or any related field of study, plus at least five (5) years of post-degree, progressively responsible experience as a Data Scientist or in any related position(s) involving data-oriented programming, data mining/modeling, machine learning, or related quantitative data analysis.
Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following:
  1. Online media, consumer audience-oriented, and consumer internet experience
  2. One or more of the following digital tools: Omniture, Google Analytics, Amplitude, AWS or Microstrategy
  3. SQL
  4. Demonstrated experience applying advanced analytical disciplines to financial, consumer audience/user experience, and/or product-level modeling, forecasting, regression, time series, etc.

No travel required. Work from home (WFH) benefit available; must be able to come in office a minimum of 3 days a week.
