Description:
Expert/lead role requiring extensive skill and proficiency in PL/SQL Development on Oracle platform. Demonstrated competency of the Senior Database Administrator role is required. Works independently with only administrative supervision on highly complex projects with extensive latitude for independent judgment. Expected to be the primary mentor for others on the database staff and is a role model for the rest of the team. Effectively communicates with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel. Ability to provide communication on issues or complex information to a wide audience based on knowledge of as well as a strong understanding of interface points between departments within Client and application teams. Participates as a senior member of the database team in strategic planning and direction. Recommends and assists in the selection, evaluation and implementation of new database technologies and software tools to assist in maintaining the database environment. Develops, documents and implements; standards, guidelines, direction and education on database process/procedures for application teams as well as database staff. Assigned to the most highly visible, sensitive and critical systems. Typically requires a minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a database administrator.
What you will be doing:
Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database applications using PL/SQL
Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements
Design and implement efficient database structures, indexes, and constraints
Perform database tuning, optimization, and performance monitoring
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, and user manuals
Primary Skills:
Oracle PL/SQL development/troubleshooting (must be current, most important skill)
Oracle relational DBâs, table and data structures
Oracle development tools, executing and writing scripts
good understanding of QA testing and DevOps best practices
database automation tools and techniques
7-10 years of experience as a database administrator, leadership role will be a mentor for others on database staff
Education: Bachelors Degree
