Delta Air Lines is seeking an Operations Resource Manager for Delta Connection who is highly motivated and passionate about producing operational results. The ideal candidate will provide operational oversight of aircraft and crew processes for Delta Connection partners, ensuring consistent delivery of the Delta brand across our partners' OCC/SOCs.

  • Proactive Constraint Mitigation: Collaborates with RSOM and DC partners to proactively mitigate any foreseeable operational constraints.
  • Collaboration with SPT and RSOM Divisions: Works closely with the SPT (Strategic Planning Team) and RSOM (Regional System Operations Management) divisions within the OCC (Operations Control Center). Acts as the liaison for Delta Connection, communicating foreseeable operational constraints to leaders.
  • ATM Initiatives and Compliance: Coordinates ATM (Air Traffic Management) initiatives. Ensures that DC partners comply with relevant guidelines.
  • On-Site Assistance: Provides on-site assistance during major events such as IROPs (Irregular Operations), terminal moves, system cutovers, and IT outages.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Conducts daily metrics and operational reporting for DC OCC (Operations Control Center).
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serves as a subject matter expert on DC ATM fleet-specific constraints and identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Advocacy and Communication: Advocates for DC partners during airport construction planning discussions with local airport authorities. Identifies constraints and implements mitigation strategies with our DC partners.
  • DC Delay Coding and FCR Process: Oversees the DC Delay Coding and Flight Communication Report (FCR) process and procedures. Acts as the judicator when a delay code is not accepted.
  • Training and Accountability: Conducts RSOM new hire and recurrent training.
  • Corporate Goals and Policies: Accountable for achieving Delta Connection Corporate and OCC Flight Plan goals. Assists in authoring and upholding the DC Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Safety-Conscious Practices: Demonstrates safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.


What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Must have a minimum of a college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Concise Presentation Skills
  • Must have expert knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Able to provide strategic vision to a diverse workgroup in a dynamic environment.
  • Capable of carrying out multiple tasks with strict operational, regulatory, and contractual deadlines.
  • Should be visionary, yet able to work effectively in a highly regulated environment.
  • Must be a tactical thinker, risk taker, and creative problem solver, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • A self-starter who can work with minimal instruction or supervision.
  • Must be performing satisfactorily in their present position.
  • Travel required.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.


What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Previous experience in Flight Dispatch, Aircraft Routing, Crew Tracking and or Network Scheduling is preferred.
  • Previous experience in Airport Customer Service highly desired.
