Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION

-The Internal and External Communication lead supports the execution, delivery and activation of internal and external communications plans and assets using different channels and vehicles, including newsletters, collateral, digital communication, press, intranet content, emails, videos, town halls and presentations

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leverage expertise in brand communications to deliver best-in-class communications and PR campaigns and initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with editorial leadership on wider narrative positioning and business strategy.
- With a clear point of view, execute advanced strategies and tactics with measurable results to build both consumer and industry awareness.
- Manage brand crisis communications strategies and responses.
- Partner with all service lines integral to grow new patient volume
- Cultivate top-tier media relationships to secure opportunities for key editorial and business priorities.
- Lead and manage the writing, editing, and proofreading for a range of employee communications, newsletters, and informational materials for internal distribution.
- Regularly assess and publish content on communication vehicles (Intranet, newsletters, email, social media, etc.), to ensure on-time, accurate delivery, and availability of fresh, updated content.
- Contribute to the planning, delivery, and measurement of internal and external communication plans to help support the execution of company strategies and increase employee engagement.
- Analyze distribution metrics to measure communication effectiveness.
- Coordinate distribution and tracking of communications to build appropriate audience profiles and lists and ensures timely delivery and follow-up.
- Assist with development and distribution of surveys and the solicitation of feedback from employees to help in measuring employee satisfaction and engagement and evaluating the results of communications plans, campaigns, and strategies.
- Provide recommendations to improve internal and external communications by tracking consumer and employee understanding and retention, and summarizing consumer and employee satisfaction surveys.
- Coordinate production and distribution of materials.
- Help with implementing high impact programs that raise brand awareness and help to build/maintain relationships consumers and patients
- Support sites and leadership team with a range of cross-functional projects
- Determine measurement and effectiveness for internal and external communications strategies
- Role is onsite
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
- Perform related work as required

- Demonstrate an ability to develop a range of alternatives for assigned projects
- Identify key elements of an issue, problem or data set and be able to highlight general opportunities and implications
- Make decisions that reflect "layers" of thought - balancing enthusiasm, insight, caution, discretion

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, Marketing or an approved related discipline; and,
2. Four years of responsible public relations experience involving the press and communications media, employee communications, community affairs, educational affairs, public information, corporate and business affairs, governmental and legislative affairs; or,
3. A satisfactory equivalent.
