Job Description

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Deputy Executive Director of Business Planning and Administration in the Office of Ambulatory Care and Population Health will be responsible for overseeing all internal office administration and needs and for developing, planning and maintaining the overall office budget and project business plans.

GENERAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITES WILL INCLUDE:
• Serves as point of contact for all administrative, budgeting and staffing inquiries within the Office of Ambulatory Care
Staffing:
1. Facilitates office efforts with Human Resources team and Finance in the creation of new staffing lines or re-organization of teams
2. Manages and serves as expert in any staffing, safety and labor concerns for employees working directly or through affiliate lines within the Office of Ambulatory Care
3. Addresses performance management issues and monitors plans of corrections; ensures staff understand the ICARE standards.
4. Creates and maintains monthly reports of all office personnel status that assist in leadership planning for ongoing office growth
5. Serves as point of contact to implement the system's future staffing timekeeping/scheduling system.


• Administration

1. Oversees in-office staff who assist with day-to-day office tasks and management as well as maintaining schedules for senior leadership


• Budgeting and Finance

1. Develops annual budget in conjunction with senior management and department leaders;
2. Oversees procurement and management of departmental invoices
3. Serves as liaison between vendors and NYC H+H accounts payable department for payment inquiries
4. Manages business plan modeling for the Office of Ambulatory Care initiatives
5. Monitors approved budgets throughout the year and work with department leaders to explain variances.
6. In collaboration with the Staffing Models lead and Finance, creates and implements innovative staffing models for primary care and specialty care services across the enterprise that are financially sustainable (including advanced payment models) and meet patient needs
• Supports the Senior AVP of Practice Transformation and other Senior Leadership with other related duties and special projects as directed
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Hospital Health Care, Medical Administration or a related program; and,
2. Six years of full-time, paid experience in high-level responsible business administration, human resources administration, public administration or an equivalent field, or as an Assistant Hospital Administrator in a position of direct responsibility for total operations or major parts thereof in a hospital setting including substantial exposure in meeting community needs; or,
3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, experience and training; and,
4. Extensive working knowledge of hospital administration, medical procedures, laws and regulations pertaining to hospital operations with special reference to accreditation procedures.

• Must be able to work independently as well as work as part of a fast moving team
• Must be able to work at various locations when necessary along with working various shifts
