Design Engineer

Insight Global is looking for a Design Engineer for a client in the La Palma, CA area. They are responsible for walking jobsites, most travel will be local but they have a wide territory from Mexico border to Bakersfield to San Luis Obispo a couple times a month. the day to day of the job is in La Palma or in Rancho Cucamonga, in person 5 days a week. They will be working in AutoCAD 70% of time, 20% working with sales team and customer facing for presentation/design planning and walking job site. They will be responsible for the engineering process, building bills and materials, designing and drafting complete security design packages for construction. Also in charge of laying out floor plans for security devices, installation details and systems applications.

Required Skills & Experience

5 years experience with AutoCAD as a drafter
5 years in design engineering
Security system design experience
Experience in the Security industry
Strong communications to lead design meetings with the customer
Design aptitude
