The Design Engineering Intern:
  • Assists with Engineering Changes to existing designs.
  • Reviews and updates bill of materials.
  • Updates Catia models and drawings in Oracle
  • Participates in the review process of Engineering Changes
  • Accurately follows the release process for Engineering Changes.
  • Supports the design of new projects for circle track racing.
  • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; students in their third or fourth year preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CAD modeling software required, Catia experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle preferred.
  • Vehicle dynamics classes or experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational skills.
  • Internship (temporary position) is 12-20 hours per week
  • Valuable experience in the automotive aftermarket industry.
  • Mentorship from seasoned marketing professionals.
  • Exposure to real-world sales scenarios and opportunities to contribute to the overall marketing strategy
