The role you'll contribute:
The Design Manager builds and directs the conceptual development and execution of creative deliverables for the AdventHealth West Florida Division (WFD), aiming to increase brand awareness, consumer preference, and business volumes. They oversee the creation and production of a wide range of visual and audio materials for advertising, marketing, and communications, emphasizing brand building, design-thinking, and utilizing consumer insights for effective creative strategies.
Managing an internal design team and a network of freelance graphic designers, the Design Manager collaborates with various creative professionals like photographers and videographers. Together, they develop marketing and communication assets aligning with WFD's strategic and financial objectives. Working alongside the Creative Director of Creative Services, the Design Manager facilitates creative brainstorming sessions and develop pitches of new campaigns for client and creative reviews that uphold brand standards and convey the AdventHealth story.
In partnership with the creative services team, the Design Manager establishes and implements processes to ensure consistent, high-quality project delivery within established timelines and budgets. They also collaborate closely with the WFD consumer strategy team, field and corporate marketing teams, advertising agencies, and clients as needed.
The value you'll bring to the team:
• Develops concepts and creative solutions for campaigns, ensuring client objectives are met within brand guidelines, budget and deadlines. Designs a wide range of marketing materials including ads, collateral, direct mail, outdoor displays, videos, presentations, motion graphics and social media content.
• Leads the in-house graphic design team in brainstorming innovative campaign ideas, providing design direction on asset creation, and collaborating closely with the Creative Director and Consumer Strategy team.
• Motivates and encourages both internal and external design teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs that are easy to understand, while providing technical expertise throughout the design process.
• Manages external freelancer relationships, overseeing their onboarding, training on brand guidelines, and ensuring work quality.
• Engages with clients and stakeholders to comprehend project requirements, present design concepts, and handle feedback. Possessing strong client management skills, including negotiation, relationship-building, and problem-solving, is essential.
• Acts as the creative leader, ensuring consistent adherence to brand standards and providing clear guidance on the brand platform.
• Collaborates with the Creative Director and Project Managers to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery, as well as aiding in assigning the right resources and projects.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited art school
• 7-10 years' experience in graphic arts
• Valid FL driver's license.
