Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and solve desktop hardware and software problems
  • Provide help desk support to end-users through phone, email, and in person communication
  • Positively interact with end-users to understand their needs, determine a solution, provide the solution, and educate
  • Gather and interpret desktop computer requirements and use the information to develop system proposals for implementations
  • Build and deploy desktop computer systems in accordance with system requirements and best practices
  • Recommend changes to improve systems and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes
  • Document desktop computer configurations, inventory, and application configurations
  • Assist IT Security to identify, implement, and maintain security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware
  • Follow change management processes for all changes to production systems
  • Stay current on new technology and implement or recommend its implementation
  • Coordinate with vendors for system maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and development
  • Train IT staff and end users on the proper use of hardware and software when necessary
  • Apply skills to the wide variety of applications, hardware, and situations found in an enterprise IT environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong technical IT skills
  • Proficient in IT problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Positive interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team oriented attitude
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Available for after-hours support and shift based scheduling
  • Possess a high degree of integrity and trust along with the ability to work independently
