Core I/O and Sensors group is part of Core OS organization and is responsible for firmware, device drivers and frameworks related to sensors, human interface devices and I/O technologies like USB, Thunderboltâ„¢, DisplayPort and accessory connectivity & management.

Successful candidate will need to work with cross-functional teams across Apple to proactively develop and drive overall test planning, execution and quality reporting for various areas of responsibility. Key Qualifications
5+ years of experience with system hardware or software validation, some of which has been in a team lead position
Programming experience with C, Python, and Shell scripting
Experience with test automation and testing at a large scale
Ability to create and manage complex test plans
Proven ability to ramp up quickly on both new and existing technologies
Excellent communication and team work skills

Description
As the manager of the Embedded Sensors Quality Engineering team you will recruit and lead quality/test Engineers who design, deploy and maintain automated test environments used in testing embedded sensor technologies. The team focuses on validation of the sensors connected to the Always On Processor (AOP), which includes the accelerometer, gyroscope, IMU, and many more. You will help define validation strategies and create detailed test plans for validating new hardware and software features. The role will require you to work closely with cross functional development and quality teams, building strong relationships with other teams both within and outside of the Core OS organization.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field

Additional Requirements
  • Experience with developing, testing or debugging device drivers, firmware or other low level software
  • Knowledge of Embedded Systems and OS concepts
