Job Summary

• DevOps Engineer IIIs collaborate with management, product owners, developers, and engineers to plan develop, and implement solutions to optimize and automate business and technical processes. They discover, provide, and promulgate new tools and practices by reading, researching, testing, and experimenting; spending time creating proof-of-concept applications, pipelines, processes, and software deployments. They act as thought leaders to spread and teach the new practices or tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Automate and optimize deployment of applications and infrastructure both on-prem and in the cloud by interacting with management, product owners, developers, and engineers to find pain points in their day to day lives and determine what portions of their process can be automated or streamlined.
• Build, Support and maintain on-prem and cloud environments and/or containers / Kubernetes by helping to design, deploy, and securely maintain virtual environments that will ensure developers have an environment to help deploy their application stacks in using modern practices.
• Implement and maintain automation by writing, testing, deploying, and maintaining the appropriate tools.
• Anticipate, own, and comprehensively solve technical and procedural problems for multiple Software Development and IT Operations teams.
• Act confidently, independently, and decisively on large problems with incomplete information.
• Augment and amplify the impact of others on the team by coaching, teaching, and leading by example.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Adheres to Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management processes, policies for production affecting items.

• Ensuring the work that has been produced is documented and communicated properly to the organization.

Job Requirements

Education & Certifications:

• Education or job knowledge equivalent to college or university undergraduate education.

Experience

• The minimum amount of relevant work experience required to successfully perform the job is at least seven (7) years.
