A fintech firm is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their team in Fort Lee, NJ.

This role is hybrid with 2 days/week onsite.

Pay: $600/day c2c


Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain the company's continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
  • Collaborate with development teams to automate the build, deployment, and release processes for various software applications
  • Manage configuration management tools to ensure consistency and scalability across different environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to deployment, performance, and infrastructure
  • Serve as a point of contact for Level 2 technical support, addressing and resolving escalated issues from Level 1 support
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical problems, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing system downtime
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify root causes of issues and implement preventive measures
  • Document support processes, procedures, and solutions to create a comprehensive knowledge base for future reference
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support coverage for critical incidents
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in DevOps and infrastructure management
  • Proficiency in configuration management
  • Proficient in Linux shell scripting and Powershell
  • Familiarity with Relational Databases and basic SQL
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively
  • Prior experience in providing Level 2 support and participating in on-call rotations
  • Python skills a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results
  • Proactive attitude towards identifying and addressing potential issues
  • Capacity to adapt to new technologies and industry trends quickly
