DIABETES EDUCATION COORDINATOR

We are seeking a Diabetes Education Coordinator at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI.

The Diabetes Education Coordinator is accountable for coordinating the care of the patient with diabetes from entry through discharge and referral. The coordinator guides, assists and serves as an expert resource to nursing staff and other members of the health care team to ensure delivery of high-quality care to patients with diabetes incorporating evidence-based practice.

HOURS: Occasional or .001 FTE; .08 hours Bi-weekly; Day Shift.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a nursing program. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
• Two to four years' acute care experience required.
• Two to four years' experience in diabetes education required.
