Responsibilities of a Dietary Cook:
  • Prepare and cook meals according to prescribed recipes and portion sizes
  • Ensure that meals are served on time and at appropriate temperatures
  • Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
  • Collaborate with dietary staff to plan menus and accommodate special dietary needs
  • Maintain inventory of food supplies and order as needed
  • Assist with kitchen clean-up and organization
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations

Qualifications of a Dietary Cook:
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Experience as a dietary aide is preferred
  • Must have experience working in the kitchen
  • Skilled in preparing meals according to instructions
