EXPERIENCED COOK - Responsible for preparing food in accordance with applicable federal, state and local standards, regulations and facility policies, as directed by the Food Service Director, to ensure that quality food service is given to the residents at all times. Ensures that all food is served according to proper time schedules. Able to prepare therapeutic diets. Assists as directed in special events of the facility. Performs assigned cleaning tasks to ensure the department is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner. Labels, dates and stores food properly according to regulations. Assists with stock inventory, ordering and storing and in the maintenance of the department's budget. ensures that all supplies are available prior to meal service. Must have at least one year experience in a Cook's position, preferably in a health related facility.
