JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox News Digital is looking for a Sports Production Assistant! As a Sports Production Assistant at Fox News Digital, you have the opportunity to work on sports content that is seen by millions of viewers daily. You will work with a production team that will be tasked with helping to produce compelling daily content that resonates with readers. You will also create content each day for Fox News Digital.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in weekly team meetings to develop strategies and ideas to produce shows that will drive the national sports and pop culture conversation
• Book for multiple daily shows streamed on Outkick.com and hosted by Outkick.com personalities
• Work closely with the Managing Editor, Senior Editor, reporters and writers to enhance daily output
• Produce content from interviews conducted by Fox News Digital's Sports team, including video and social media clips
• Write engaging, SEO-friendly headlines for Fox News Digital Sports and Fox News Digital Sports' social media pages
• Monitor live streams and television appearances and flag potential interviews that could be turned into content for Fox News Digital
• Use homepage manager and social media content manager tools
• Collaborate and produce photo illustrations and montages
• Be ready and willing to learn the fast-paced world of a digital newsroom

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
• Experience working on news or sports-style shows
• Passion for and knowledge of sports and sports culture
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure, meeting multiple daily deadlines
• A desire to grow and perform beyond expectations
• Flexible schedule which may include mornings, nights as well as some weekend days and holidays

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $18.25-25.00 per hour for California, Washington, New York City and Westchester County, NY. $15.00-20.75 per hour for Colorado. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
