UHS is currently recruiting for our Director of Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Development. This role provides leadership for ASC growth by developing market specific ASC strategies and executing ASC development plans across all UHS Acute Division markets. Responsibilities include establishing market-specific ASC strategic growth plans with local market leaders, identifying, and developing ASC acquisition and de novo opportunities, cultivating ASC development projects for local market and Corporate Leadership approval, and integrating new ASCs into the UHS ASC operational portfolio. The position provides subject matter expertise, collaborating with local market and corporate teams to improve and optimize ASC performance metrics.

Essential job duties include:
  • Responsible for establishing ASC market growth plans. Leads development of strategic rationale and business plans for ASC projects.
  • Identifies and executes various ASC growth opportunities through the development phase of opportunities. Responsible for supporting integration of new ASCs.
  • Collaborates with C-Suite leadership to ensure alignment of efforts. Assists in financial model development for ASC opportunities.
  • Develops relationships with physicians, local market, and corporate leaders. Owns all physician syndication relationships in the local market.
  • Ensures proper oversight and governance of the ASC development activities.
  • Develops system level reporting for key items critical for success of the business line.
  • Provides additional ASC subject matter expertise to the markets in order to help drive ASC growth and performance improvement.

Qualifications

  • Ability to execute and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated leadership and initiative in healthcare service excellence and business growth
  • Strong quantitative & analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex challenges
  • Strong background with ambulatory surgery centers acquisition and merger activities.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and physicians
  • Unimpeachable integrity, work ethic, respectful demeanor and inclusive collaborative approach
  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred - MBA or relevant equivalent graduate degree
  • 8-10 years experience leading Ambulatory Operations with c omprehensive knowledge of Ambulatory Surgery Center operations
