The Digital Banking team is seeking a Portfolio Director to lead the Digital Banking Portfolio Management team. We are building a banking and payments platform that enables teams to create products at scale and powers digital channels to deliver compelling experiences in a dramatically faster fashion. As the Director of the Portfolio Management team you will be leading a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive team that consists of Business Demand Management (BID), Digital UX Design, and Workforce Strategy. You and your team will work closely with Product and Engineering teams across the Banking and Payments portfolio to deliver end-to-end product portfolio management activities in alignment with business objectives, strategic vision, and roadmap while meeting our financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Tech Investment Funding & Financials (Portfolio Management)

  • Lead & coordinate product portfolio planning across product, engineering, and business stakeholders ensuring capacity is aligned to highest priority outcomes (including facilitation of financial/capacity discussions).
  • Lead & facilitate incoming Business Initiative Demand (BID) assessments and annual planning across Digital Banking in alignment with our strategic vision and roadmap.
  • Oversees the review and prioritization of incoming work across Banking and Payments working closely with the leadership team.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting for our delivery teams by providing continuous analysis and appropriate linking of our Epics, Capabilities, Features, and Stories.
  • Define and optimize the portfolio through analysis and understanding of our portfolios cost, resource management, and talent strategy to align investment with business objectives, strategic vision, and roadmap.
  • Increase transparency and enable faster decision making by developing tools and insights.
  • Lead enterprise annual planning activities required to obtain annual funding approvals across Banking and Payments technology portfolios.


Communications

  • Create and deliver executive-level and stakeholder communications, elevating the product teams unified messages to drive decisions and accelerate decision making.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional senior leaders to plan and define the approach to communications and summary materials covering diverse topics including operations, delivery, finance, and business.
  • Oversees the process and materials to share out roadmaps on a regular cadence to ensure stakeholder alignment and awareness.


Process Improvements

  • Collaborates with senior leaders (both internal and external to Digital Banking) to recommend and implement process improvements to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Reviews and presents materials to senior leaders on recommendations to solve overly complex portfolio challenges, leveraging relationships and subject matter expertise for the Banking and Payments portfolios.


People & Culture

  • Collaborates with senior leaders to develop educational strategies across stakeholder groups to provide effective knowledge sharing and ensures alignment of learning to annual and long-term organizational goals and priorities.
  • Influence others, often without direct authority, persuading with compelling data, facts, and conclusions.
  • Oversees portfolio hiring and resource management, including management of SOWs.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities for employee engagement, retention, progression, and performance management.
  • Lead diverse, inclusive, and geographically dispersed teams, inspiring employee engagement, retention, progression, and performance management.
  • Foster collaboration and transparency between product, engineering, lines of business, and enterprise teams.
  • Establishes the strategic approach for the management and monitoring of a portfolio based on broad functional goals.


Required Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience working with senior leaders
  • Strong people management skills, with experience leading teams
  • Unique ability to think strategically and not lose sight of the details
  • Proven ability to drive results while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to build positive relationships, influence decisions and make things happen
  • Excellent facilitation and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and gain alignment at all levels of an organization, including senior leadership
  • Financial Analysis experience required.
  • Change Agent, not afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Improve and streamline agile operations.
  • Lead and facilitate governance forums with executive leaders.
  • Preferred Bachelors degree
  • Master's Degree or MBA is a Plus.


Qualifications

Salary Range: $150,000.00 to $225,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
