Minimum qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience in FP&A, with 5 years in a leadership role overseeing FP&A systems.
  • Experience implementing and managing FP&A software solutions.
  • Experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and SQL, Python (or other data analysis tools) along with cloud-based FP&A platforms and data visualization tools.
  • Experience leading teams and driving results.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues.

About the job

We are seeking a driven Director of Financial Planning and Analysis Engineering to lead our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) systems team.

In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing our financial systems and processes, driving data-driven decision-making, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the FP&A systems team, providing guidance and support. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of FP&A systems including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and data visualization tools.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial data across all FP&A systems. Establish and maintain data governance protocols.
  • Lead the integration of FP&A systems with other financial and operational systems, ensuring seamless data flow and reporting.
  • Develop comprehensive financial reporting and analysis capabilities, providing actionable insights.
  • Partner with stakeholders including finance, accounting, IT, and business units to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions.
