Job Description
DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE, MIT Libraries , to oversee financial operations, budget development, and analysis in alignment with the Libraries' organizational goals. Will generate insightful reports, implement efficient financial tools, and lead teams through change initiatives; liaise with MIT central offices; manage pre-award activities and ensure compliance with policies; and provide leadership and support in fostering professional growth and engage in leadership activities within the Libraries and MIT community. The role emphasizes collaboration, conflict resolution, and promoting a positive work environment while contributing to strategic decision-making.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; at least seven years' experience--that includes supervisor experience--in higher education financial management; demonstrated proficiency with financial software and tools; ability to analyze complex financial data, identify inefficiencies, and implement streamlined solutions; strong oral and written communication skills; and discretion when handling sensitive matters. PREFERRED : MIT experience and programming experience, particularly with QuickBase and other tools used at MIT. Job #24372-11
