Responsibilities

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Director to lead our residential treatment facility for at-risk youth. This is a full-time, salaried position based within the residential treatment facility. As the Clinical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 15 to 20 employees and ensuring the provision of high-quality therapeutic services to our residents. This position requires a licensed therapist with independent (I) and supervision (S) endorsements, along with a deep commitment to helping young individuals overcome challenges and achieve positive life outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide visionary and strategic leadership to the clinical team, establishing a supportive and cohesive environment that fosters collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Therapeutic Programming: Design, implement, and supervise evidence-based therapeutic programs that address the diverse needs of at-risk youth, incorporating individual, group, and family therapy approaches.
  • Staff Supervision: Oversee and provide clinical supervision to a team of therapists, counselors, and support staff, ensuring adherence to ethical standards, best practices, and professional development goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, ensuring that services provided align with industry standards and desired outcomes. Implement necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Collaborate with the clinical team to conduct comprehensive assessments of each resident's mental health, behavioral, and emotional needs. Develop and review individualized treatment plans.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with the facility's medical, educational, and administrative teams to create a holistic treatment approach that addresses the complex needs of the youth in our care.
  • Crisis Management: Provide guidance and support during crisis situations, assisting staff in effectively managing challenging behaviors and emergencies while ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Training and Professional Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for staff members, providing guidance and resources to enhance their clinical skills, knowledge, and cultural competence.
  • Community Partnerships: Establish and nurture partnerships with local community organizations, schools, and mental health agencies to facilitate a seamless continuum of care for youth transitioning in and out of the facility.
Qualifications

Foundations for Living is an residential treatment center for adolescent females, ages 11-17 years old. Our facility provides comprehensive behavioral and mental health care and education services for at risk female adolescents, families and our community.

Qualifications:
  • A master's or doctoral degree in a relevant field of mental health, counseling, psychology, or social work.
  • Current licensure as a therapist with independent (I) and supervision (S) endorsements.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical leadership roles within residential treatment settings, preferably with at-risk youth.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, and adolescent development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and sensitivity to the needs of diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential documentation.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to residential treatment facilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
