Director of Global Quality

Job Description

Nelson Global Products Inc seeks a Director of Global Quality at its facility located at 1560 Williams Drive, Stoughton, WI 53589.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

• Provide overall guidance and leadership across all aspects of quality globally
• Drive continuous improvement toward defect-free processes ensuring customer satisfaction and the achievement of business results
• Responsible for the assessment and improvement of the people capabilities, processes, and tools that are critical to the product development process
• Develop and lead strategic quality improvement goals and objectives across the organization
• Lead and coordinate the use of a common continuous improvement project selection and priority setting process
• Develop, lead, track, and measure the continuous improvement progress and its impact on business results
• Lead functional teams and cross-business teams to drive improvements impacting key measures of the business
• Develop direction on quality assessments and audits focused on processes critical to customer and business success
• Drive implementation and management of quality management systems across the organization
• Lead the assessment of team members' capabilities and skills; plan development opportunities to meet the needs of both the individual and the business
• Organize post-implementation exercises to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement
• Champion strategic customer improvement projects and communication on key metrics
• Up to 25% domestic and international travel required; 100% Telecommuting permitted

Educational Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in a quality or manufacturing occupation
• Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with:
  
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
  • Managing budgets including significant capital projects
  • Managing plant quality and quality analytics
  • Directing quality assessments and audits
