Job Description:
PURPOSE OF JOB : The Director of Marketing leads and directly manages and promotes all aspects of marketing as it relates to Doylestown Health and in accordance to the strategic plan and community health needs assessment. The Director of Marketing executes internal and external marketing strategies to improve and achieve business objectives including all tactics and deliverables. Oversees marketing, advertising and media strategy to support Doylestown Health's strategic plan and clinical priorities to enhance brand awareness and increase patient referrals/volumes. Additionally, stays abreast of best practices and trends in staff recruitment, patient and visitor education, and community relations. The Director of Marketing will partner with the Advancement/Communications leadership team to design and implement brand strategies that create awareness and growth of our healthcare system, including the hospital, physician network, service lines, areas of expertise, and donors. The role will report into the Chief Advancement Officer and will help grow and lead a team .
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
  • Provides leadership and oversees the coordination and implementation of all aspects of marketing, including design, copy writing, web, social media, advertising, and digital media. Ensures consistency in quality and accuracy and makes sure timelines are met.
  • Marketing: Directs and manages the Marketing department. Sets the strategy for all projects, including: goals, budget and implementation. Projects include but are not limited to: traditional marketing, mass media, Intranet, Websites, Digital Marketing, Advertising, and social media.
  • Strategy: Partners with Doylestown Health system leaders (clinical, operational, and administrative) to ensure alignment of hospital and business unit goals and opportunities for support through available marketing channels. Introduces best practices and ensures design, messaging, (and in some cases functionality) are created and executed to meet goals, in a cost-efficient manner. Creates and oversees the implementation of marketing strategies and action plans.
  • Maintain financial accountability for managed programs.
  • Manages a support team to execute tactics across all marketing and advertising channels.
Job Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Education: Bachelor Required; Master's Preferred
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in marketing, preferred experience in hospital/healthcare/consumer experience marketing; three years at management level. Demonstrated leadership ability and project management skills required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with physicians and ancillary staff required. Knowledge of Healthcare industry desired.
  • Other Skills: Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communications, interpersonal skills, and strong business acumen. Must be a team player, consensus builder and persuasive presenter. Must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex responsibilities, perform market and business analysis, strategic planning and program management, with documented outcomes, be able to work independently and make decisions under pressing timelines and circumstances. Must exercise strict budget control. Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email and research/analysis tools, including the internet.
