Director of Nursing

The Director of Nursing (DON) will plan, organize, develop and direct the facility's nursing services in accordance with all current federal, state and corporate standards, regulations, and guidelines to assure the highest degree of quality care. The Director of Nursing is responsible for the nursing services provided within the facility twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven days a week, including ensuring proper staffing & supervision at all times. This encompasses the development & implementation of patient care programs, nursing policies & procedures, nursing service objectives, standards of practice & all aspects of plans of care. Further, leads the Infection protocol for the facility, and works closely witht he infection preventionist to ensures infection control protocol is being followed. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred) with a valid state RN license and CPR certification. Three years of experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing or equivalent supervisory nursing experience required.
