We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director for ProjectManagement to lead and oversee projects for our newly created Medical Incubator Center (MIC) based in our Clark, NewJersey Research facility. This initiative is a collaboration between L'Oréal Research & Innovation and L'Oréal's Dermatological Beauty division to fast-track disruptive innovations for the medical aesthetic and physician dispensing channel (focusing on the Skin Better Science and SkinCeuticals brands) and continue to build our thought leadership in this space.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving and managing the lifecycle of the incubator's innovation projects, from conception through implementation, and aligning stakeholders of diverse teams to deliver on the incubator's strategic goals and tangible results. This role requires a profile with a passion for collaboration, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to navigate complex projects with multi-national, multi-disciplinary teams.

As a Director of Project Management in our MedicalIncubator Center, your main responsibilities are:
  • Manage projects: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of innovation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
    • Play the role of facilitator: Collaborate and ensure a good level of cooperation with cross-functional teams, senior executives, external partners, and other internal stakeholders across R&I and LDB.
    • Facilitate the scope of projects, to define the work plan and timeline, to identify milestones, costs, and risks.
  • Be the guarantor of effective risk management with the team: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Track project progress and performance: monitor project progress, prepare detailed reports and presentations for the incubator's steering committee, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
    • Help the incubator identify alerts to communicate to stakeholders and assist with the preparation of options / consequences to bring to governance meetings.
  • Manage project resources, including team members, budget, and tools, to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Make Innovation become a market reality in integrated, collaborative ways of working.


To Succeed in this Position, You Have:
  • A completed degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Technology, or a related field is required; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of relevant business experience in Project Management supporting complex or large-scale projects (required)
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary and multi-national teams.
  • Experience in the professional care / cosmetic industry preferred, with a strong interest in the fields of dermatology and medical aesthetics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable expressing a contrary point of view, able to push for timely decisions
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is highly desirable
  • The ability to be onsite, in the office as this is an essential function of the position (required)
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent, ongoing basis without the need for legal sponsorship now or in the future (required)
