Put your program and policy research and analysis skills to use! The Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is currently recruiting to fill a Motor Vehicle Program Specialist-Senior position. This position is headquartered at the Hill Farms State Office Building at 4822 Madison Yards Way, Madison, WI.

This position may operate with a hybrid remote work schedule (two days in the office and three days remote) once fully trained.

Position Summary

In DMV's Business and Consumer Services Unit (BCSU), this position provides professional staff support in research, analysis, and development of training methods and auditing policies for third party agents. This position develops training and auditing programs for all units and programs within the BCSU. Further, this position will play a large role in representing the Dealer and Agent Section with the long-term transformation project.

This position is also responsible for the development of quality assurance procedures and the formulation of training programs that will help guide the long range and short range operational goals, policies, and procedures for third party processing agents. Work is performed with a high degree of independence, but this position will work closely with the Agent Partnership Program System (APPS) program coordinators and the BCSU Supervisor and Team Lead.

Salary Information

This position is in schedule-range (07-04) with a salary of $26.17/hr ($54,434 annually) - $31.20/hr ($64,896 annually), plus excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have experience with all the following:
  • Experience gathering and analyzing information from business partners and/or systems.
  • Experience providing training and interacting with a diverse group of business partners including external and internal parties.
  • Experience developing reports, letters, bulletins, etc. to disseminate information.
  • Experience working with computer software programs including Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) or similar and a Document Management System.
In addition to all the above, well-qualified applicants will have experience with one or more of the following:
  • Experience interpreting laws and regulations.
  • Experience presenting complex information both orally and in writing to persons with varying degrees of technical expertise.
  • Experience developing audit criteria, auditing, compiling results, and reporting out the findings.
