Pay Range
$104,910 - $130,236 Annually
Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. Many factors are taken into consideration when setting starting pay including education, experience, the external labor market, and internal equity.

Job Description

We're looking for a Document Control & Configuration Management Specialistwith comprehensive knowledge of and experience implementing document lifecycle management, data and records collection management, archival preservation, and media scanning methodologies. You will be instrumental in independently developing, implementing, and managing a document control and configuration management process within the Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) Directorate.

This position offers a hybrid schedule, blending in-person and virtual presence. You will have the flexibility to work from home one or more days per week.

You will
  • Collaborate with internal and external management and programmatic subject matter experts to develop, implement, and manage an effective I&O document and drawing lifecycle process that complies with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement and maintain governance for creating, storing, updating, and distributing Directorate documents including, but not limited to, technical and administrative procedures, drawings, reports and memorandums of understanding.
  • Be the point of contact for all I&O document control and configuration management initiatives.
  • Contribute in the development, implementation, and maintenance of controlled metadata standards.
  • Create and maintain training courses, materials, and user guides to enable efficient system usage.
  • Provide input to the development and revision of procedures, methods, and tools to manage database and system migrations. Participate in implementation activities and monitor results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Associate of Arts Degree in a related field or equivalent of education and related experience.
  • Experience managing, and/or implementing, document lifecycle processes for a portfolio of documents and drawings.
  • Knowledge of document control, CAD software programs, metadata standards, and document control and configuration management best practices.
  • Experience interfacing with customers and users, interpreting their needs and collaborating in solving unique situations regarding their service area.
  • Proficient written, verbal, and presentation skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team environment, as well as the ability to work effectively with minimal guidance.

Qualifications We Desire
  • Experience with configuration management software, such as Teamcenter, Enablon, or EDMS.
  • Experience with regulated document control in a government environment and with direct experience in an electronic document management system.
  • Certified as a Document Management Certified Professional and Procedure Professionals Association (PPA) Certified Procedure Writer.
  • Experience using and/or implementing PPA AP-907-001, Procedure Process, and AP-907-005, Procedure Writer's Guide, both elements of the Standard Nuclear Performance Model with DOE Order 422.1, Conduct of Operations.
