Minimum Qualifications

For Assignment to Level III
1. Valid license as an LCSW issued by the NYSED.

Department Preferences

  1. Two years background at responsible management and administrative levels; or, An equivalent combination of training, educational background and experience in related fields and educational disciplines; and
  2. Two (2) years' experience in a Hospital setting, preferably in Behavioral Health Services
  3. General knowledge of policies and programs utilized in the operation of a health care facility, ability to assimilate and analyze data, to recommend action based on analytical findings, and to assist in the solution of complex problems in health care administration and management.

KNOWLEDGE IN:
  • Experience with Domestic Violence and/or trauma population.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Familiarity with high-risk patients and cultural sensitivity in community settings.
  • Familiarity with high-risk populations and community settings, demonstrated interest in maternal mental health.
  • Administrative and research experience a plus.
  • Child treatment also plus.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Supports and trains caseworkers and DV social workers
  • Develops instructional materials and techniques
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred. Other languages a plus.
