Responsibilities

Position Summary:

To produce diagnostically adequate documentation of all the anatomic malformations associated with heart disease cardiac sonographers must be familiar with cardiac anatomy and physiology and with the clinical aspects of cardiology. Cardiac sonographers must possess a keen understanding of ultrasound physics and instrumentation plus manual dexterity to manipulate a transducer. Performs Echocardiology procedures electrocardiograms (EKGs) pediatric and neonatal EKGs pharmacological and exercise stress echoes pharmacological and exercise cardiolyte procedures nuclear stress testing and holter monitoring.

Minimum:
  • Clinical experience performing echocardiograms stress echoes transesophageal echoes EKG testing stress testing and Holter monitors - independently or with proctor required.
  • Currently attending or graduate of an accredited echocardiography program required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • RDCS eligible within 2 years of hire required.
  • Completion of RDCS certification within 3 years of hire required.

Qualifications
