EDI Applications Engineer for thyssenkrupp Bilstein USA, Inc. in Hamilton, Ohio.

Duties include: Design, implement, and execute continuous improvement initiatives that optimize cost structures, improve productivity and product throughput, streamline processes, and improve service and performance metrics for Materials and Logistics operations.
  • Design, analyze and implement supply chain solutions to solve logistics problems for distribution of materials and finished goods.
  • Interface with customers and vendors to design, implement, modify, and maintain EDI connections.
  • Develop and implement methods for material ordering, communication, transportation, packaging, and distribution throughout the supply chain.

Experience & Educational Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic engineering, or foreign equivalent.

5 years of experience in a logistics engineering position in the automotive suspension system industry.
  • Must have 5 years of experience with each of the following: setting up Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) supplier profiles and outbound/inbound message types, and monitoring and troubleshooting day-to-day EDI transactions including vendor requirements, JIT/Forecast requirements, Subcontractor requirements, ASNs, and Invoices.
  • Administering and managing logistics processes in the automotive suspension system industry, including production and material planning, capacity planning of machinery, packaging management, and shipping and receiving.
  • Interfacing with automotive suspension system industry customers regarding logistics, EDI, and supply chain issues, including service performance, project management, and escalation procedures.
  • Overseeing the administration of SAP ERP systems for logistics processes in the automotive suspension system industry, including integration with WM/IM/MM/PP/SD modules.
  • Business processes and requirements as related to configuring SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and MM (Materials Management) and their integration with other SAP components.
  • Documenting logistics engineering solutions, processes, best practices, policies and procedures, change management initiatives, training resources, and system configuration specifications.
  • Experience can be acquired concurrently.
