Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in a health related field. Experience with youth in an education setting and/or experience working in case management. Preferred Qualifications:
Professional experience with teaching reproductive health topics. Experience with community outreach and education. Experience generating reports through data management systems. Experience with Quality Management. Bilingual English/Spanish.

Brief Description of Duties:
The Education Specialist will be responsible for assisting in delivering evidence-based programs with fidelity to youth in a variety of settings, conduct community outreach and education and complete required reports as well as generating reports to ensure program standards are met. The Education Specialist will also provide case management to people living with HIV as well as those at risk.

Duties:
  • Conduct community outreach and education to women and youth.
  • Deliver evidence-based programs with fidelity to youth in a variety of settings.
  • Provide medical case management for people living with HIV to include intake assessments, service plan development.
  • Completes required reporting accurately and timely and assists with quality improvement activities including data management and generating reports to evaluate program goals.
  • Provide assistance and/or referrals for youth and women to obtain comprehensive family planning services, health service or other essential support services as identified.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Special Notes:The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
