Responsibilities:
• Prepares and distributes student pre-bills and invoices.
• Assists customers with billing inquiries, coordinating with other departments as needed.
• Manages customer accounts, including tracking outstanding balances and applying holds for delinquencies.
• Ensures accurate financial data by uploading entries from customer information systems and payment processors to the general ledger.
• Reconciles customer payments, issuing refunds and contacting delinquent accounts.
• Maintains financial integrity by reconciling balances across customer information systems, payment services, and the general ledger.
• Issues 1098-T tax forms to students.

Requirements:
• A minimum of one year of demonstrably successful experience in billing within a higher education institution is required.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service are essential.
• The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make well-considered decisions is necessary.
• A willingness to work extended hours during peak student billing periods is a requirement.
