Our client, a nationwide leader in radiation & oncology programs, is hiring a Medical Billing Specialist to assist their Revenue Cycle Management Team! This is a contract-to-hire position that offers a flexible start time and hybrid/remote flexibility after 6 months based on performance!

Pay Rate: $22 - $24 /hr

Hours: Monday - Friday Flex Start time 6:30am-8am

Day to Day :

• Research, correct, and resubmit rejected, denied, clean claims to the insurance companies either electronically or by paper.
• Manage all collections attempts made to both the patient and the insurance provider.
• Call insurance companies for the status of outstanding bills, payments and claimant information.
• Review correspondence letters and submit appeals for denials and payment reductions.
• Maintain records of medical billing, claims, and medical insurance, and settlements.
• Monitor multiple accounts and maintain compliance with insurance company rules and regulations.
• Answers questions from patients, staff and insurance companies.
• Process offsets, credits, and refunds.
• Successfully completes other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience with Pre-Submission of Claims, This is not Post Submission, Not Denial/Collections
• Knowledge in Billing, exposed to CPT Codes and HCPCS
  • 250 line exposure on a daily basis. Review of diagnosis codes, understand modifiers.
  • Hospital Codes, large volume
• Multi - Physician, Multi - Specialty vs. One - Doc
• Experience working with government & commercial payors
  • Medicare, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield
• Experience with computerized billing software, EMR, and interpreting EOBs.
  • OnCo
  • GE Centricity
  • EPIC
• Oncology or Infusion would be preferred, but not required
