Piper Life Sciences is actively looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager (EHS) to join a global medical device organization that provides innovative solutions in orthodontics. The EHS Manager will continue the development of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) processes and systems. This person will be responsible for chemical compliance and packaging regulations in different product categories. This is a full time (FTE) opportunity with a hybrid work structure, located in San Jose, California (CA).

Responsibilities of the EHS Manager:

• Manage and set direction for safety process, and process safety management (PSM) systems
• Design and execute chemical management safety programs
• Serve as SME for safety and environmental requirements
• Direct corrective actions and continued improvements when safety concerns arise
• Support project executions and compliance through risk assessments (PHA, LOPA, FMEA, HazOP)
• Manage compliance with global product regulatory regimes

Qualifications of the EHS Manager:

• B.S./M.S. in an Engineering, Scientific or a related discipline
• 6-10 + years of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) experience and/or chemical safety in a manufacturing/industrial environment, or for medical device product safety
• Chemical Compliance and Packaging Regulations experience, specifically Toxic Substance Control Act knowledge
• Strong foundation and knowledge of OSHA regulations

Compensation of the EHS Manager

• Salary: $160,000 - $175,000 or based on relevant industry experience
