Insight Global is searching for a Mechanical Engineer to work for an enterprise organization that develops gaming, autonomous and various software technologies based in Santa Clara, CA. In this role, you will support the Facilities Team and their projects as requested by their client. The role of this Electrical Engineer is to provide project support and active participation on developing, implementing, and overseeing reliability and maintenance engineering programs for facilities. This role is 5 days on-site / week. Additional responsibilities include:
- Electrical System Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, testing and preventative maintenance on electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency generators, and fire alarm systems.
- Energy Efficiency and Sustainability: Identify opportunities for energy conservation and recommend improvements; as well as implement sustainable practices aligned with industry standards.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans related to electrical systems and ensure back up power sources (UPS, generators) are operational and tested regularly.
- Code Compliance: Stay informed about electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards to ensure all electrical work adheres to local, state and national guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other facilities professionals including HVAC technicians, plumbers and building managers and provide technical support during building renovations and upgrades.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities and prepare reports on system performance, repairs, and upgrades.
- Safety and Training: Promote electrical safety awareness among building occupants, as well as train staff on safe electrical practices and emergency procedures.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or 7+ years of related experience as an Electrical Engineer
- Knowledge of electrical codes, NFPA standards and building regulations
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Previous experience in Critical Facilities preferred
