Your Opportunity:

We are looking for a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our growing, multi-disciplinary team. Your Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include the design of electrical systems for commercial, educational, industrial, and high-rise residential facilities including power distribution, stand-by and life safety power systems, interior and exterior lighting, and lighting controls.

Specific duties include:
  • Lead engineering duties on projects of various complexity including data collection, information gathering, design documentation, and construction site observation.
  • Coordinate with multi-discipline team to develop designs that work with the aesthetic and technical needs of each project.
  • Interpret drawings, codes, and industry best practices to inform design decisions.
  • Prepare proposals and engineering estimates.
  • Develop schedules, work breakdown, project tasks and project execution.
  • Perform Project Management to control design budgets and cost control monitoring.
  • Prepare engineering reports, construction drawings and specifications.
  • Perform calculations to analyze and design individual building electrical system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software (Visual/AGI, SKM, etc.).
  • Perform construction site observation visits, reviews and respond to project submittals and RFIs.
  • Serves as a trainer, mentor, and resource to others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Engineer.
  • Occasional travel may be required (

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited preferred).
  • Professional Engineer Licensure is preferred. Ability to become licensed within 6 months of hire is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in buildings electrical engineering.
  • Experience in Commercial, High-Rise Residential, and/or Educational/Institutional projects would be beneficial.
  • Highly proficient electrical design experience in low voltage power distribution systems, lighting and lighting controls design, and grounding. Medium voltage design experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with fire alarm, security, and auxiliary systems.
  • Thorough knowledge and familiarity with electrical standards and codes.
  • Good interpersonal skills required for team coordination.
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills required.
  • Experience using Revit,
  • LEED® Accredited Professional designation is a plus.
  • Eligible for US Security clearance is a plus.
