Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include the design of electrical systems for commercial, educational, industrial, and high-rise residential facilities including power distribution, stand-by and life safety power systems, interior and exterior lighting, and lighting controls.
Specific duties include:
- Lead engineering duties on projects of various complexity including data collection, information gathering, design documentation, and construction site observation.
- Coordinate with multi-discipline team to develop designs that work with the aesthetic and technical needs of each project.
- Interpret drawings, codes, and industry best practices to inform design decisions.
- Prepare proposals and engineering estimates.
- Develop schedules, work breakdown, project tasks and project execution.
- Perform Project Management to control design budgets and cost control monitoring.
- Prepare engineering reports, construction drawings and specifications.
- Perform calculations to analyze and design individual building electrical system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software (Visual/AGI, SKM, etc.).
- Perform construction site observation visits, reviews and respond to project submittals and RFIs.
- Serves as a trainer, mentor, and resource to others.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Engineer.
- Occasional travel may be required (
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited preferred).
- Professional Engineer Licensure is preferred. Ability to become licensed within 6 months of hire is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in buildings electrical engineering.
- Experience in Commercial, High-Rise Residential, and/or Educational/Institutional projects would be beneficial.
- Highly proficient electrical design experience in low voltage power distribution systems, lighting and lighting controls design, and grounding. Medium voltage design experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with fire alarm, security, and auxiliary systems.
- Thorough knowledge and familiarity with electrical standards and codes.
- Good interpersonal skills required for team coordination.
- Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills required.
- Experience using Revit,
- LEED® Accredited Professional designation is a plus.
- Eligible for US Security clearance is a plus.
