The Public Utilities District is seeking a dynamic Electrical Engineer to lead and oversee critical systems and facilities. This pivotal role ensures the reliability and integrity of their plant and system operations. The ideal candidate will be an engineer with a proven track record in managing substantial engineering projects. This role requires a strategic thinker who can maintain meticulous records and ensure all processes adhere to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

* Mentorship: Guide and develop Engineer I-III's, fostering professional growth and expertise.

* External Relations: Cultivate extensive external contacts that significantly influence project outcomes.

* Technical Leadership: Provide expert recommendations and perform advanced technical engineering functions.

* Project Management: Oversee large, complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring scope, cost, and justification align with organizational goals.

* Design & Innovation: Generate and revise technical drawings, inspect equipment, and analyze deviations from original designs to enhance system performance.

* Documentation & Safety: Manage comprehensive documentation, mapping, and safety protocols for the PUD's infrastructure, including hydro-electric facilities and power delivery assets.

* Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining robust relationships and clear communication.

* Quality Assurance: Conduct site inspections, collaborate with contractors, and ensure project adherence to approved plans.

* Professional Development: Engage in increasingly complex engineering tasks, gaining autonomy and expertise.

* Financial Planning: Contribute to budget formulation for various project phases, including planning, design, regulatory, and construction.

* Project Coordination: Prepare project scopes, estimates, budgets, and maintain schedules to ensure timely completion.

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology field.

* 2+ years within industrial plant experince (can be papermill, substation, electrical, plant)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- PE license
- Powerplant experience
